The Rev. Jay Sidebotham is the Founder and Senior Consultant of RenewalWorks. He also serves as Associate Rector at St. James, Madison Avenue in New York. Sidebotham comes to this work out of his experience as rector of Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, IL, where he led the congregation through a period of sustained focus on spiritual growth and renewal. He has also served at St. James’ Parish, Wilmington, NC; St. Bart’s, New York City; St. Columba’s, Washington, DC; St. Luke’s, Durham, NC; and St. Martin’s, Providence, RI. He is well known for his cartoons about church life and his animation work on the television series Schoolhouse Rock!

Loren Dixon, Director

Loren Dixon, from Lake Forest, IL, serves as Director. She has been guiding churches through the RenewalWorks process for the past 10 years, helping them interpret their Spiritual Life Data Reports and strategize next steps for focusing on spiritual growth.

 

Samantha Franklin, Associate Director

Samantha provides hands-on guidance for program facilitation to RenewalWorks congregations, ensuring that program materials are clear and accessible to help churches maximize their RenewalWorks initiatives. She supports RenewalWorks’ mission through digital communication, customer support, and online presence. She lives in Winston-Salem, NC, where she is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Canon Scott Gunn, Forward Movement Executive Director

The Rev. Scott Gunn is executive director of Forward Movement, a discipleship ministry of the Episcopal Church. He travels widely as preacher, speaker, and retreat leader. Author of several books, his most recent book is Easter Triumph, Easter Joy: Meditations for the Fifty Days of Eastertide. Prior to serving at Forward Movement, Scott was a parish priest in the Diocese of Rhode Island. Before that, he had a career in information technology. He lives in Cincinnati with his spouse, the Rev. Sherilyn Pearce.
